Oxalis joins the “Conscious Plate – Sustainability and Zero Food Waste Days” initiative

From 25 to 29 September, Oxalis is proud to take part in the “Conscious Plate – Sustainability and Zero Food Waste Days” initiative, promoted by the Regional Government of Madeira.

As part of the Regional Food Waste Prevention Programme, the initiative aims to raise awareness about food waste and encourage more conscious and responsible use of resources throughout the food chain.

During this special week, Oxalis will feature a Conscious Plate on its menu — a dish created with sustainability and circular economy principles in mind. It will showcase local and seasonal ingredients, while making full use of the produce and giving new life to elements that would traditionally be discarded, such as peels, stems, leaves and surplus ingredients.

More than a dish, the Conscious Plate is an invitation to look at food differently — with creativity, responsibility and respect for the ingredients.

The dish will be identified with the initiative’s official seal and accompanied by a QR code, allowing our guests to share their feedback and contribute to the evaluation of this important initiative.

At Oxalis, we believe that sustainability also begins at the table. We are proud to be part of this movement towards a more conscious, sustainable and waste-free Madeira.
